Part 1: A New Project
Iori-san, good work. Once

again, I come bearing big news!

Good work, manager.

What sort of news is it?

They’ve decided

to do another
Ichiban Kuji! This
time, it’ll be
together with both
TRIGGER and Re:vale!

So the

same lineup we
had for the grand
re-opening, is it.

Thanks to

the grand re-opening,
there seems to be
commotion over an
upcoming post-Zero
idol boom. That
might be the reason
this group was
requested.

I see,

that would make it
difficult for Yaotome
Productions to refuse.
And Re:vale’s involvement
makes it all the more so.

This time, the theme is

“fairy tales”. The
details on your
costumes haven’t
been decided yet,
but the plan is
to have everyone
be fairy tale
characters, so
I’m really looking
forward to it..!

Fairy tales, huh.

Nanase-san will
likely enjoy it.

Riku-san loves books,

after all!

How are

they planning on
promoting this?

The plan

is for it to be
quite flashy. It
seems they’ll film
a short drama starring
all 12 of you!

I have

a bad feeling
about this…

Huh, why is that?
Do you

understand that
even with all 12 of
us gathered, there
will be barely any
tsukkomis (1). It’ll
be a gathering of
bokes. There’ll be
non-stop conflicts.

I-I see…
The conflicts

will escalate even
more since
Re:vale, the masters
of taking it too far,
are present.

For example, let’s
say Yotsuba-san spills
his King Pudding. When
it comes to those two,
they’ll probably be
able to go from
pudding to the topic
of outer space.

Please wait a second,

I’m confused..!

In other words, the pudding
was actually outer space..?

It was just an example,

please don’t take
it too seriously…
What I mean is they’re
able to jump from one
talking point to another
ad infinitum. Despite
their appearances,
TRIGGER are actually
bokes too, so the
only tsukkomis will
be Osaka-san and I.
Depending on the
situation, even
Osaka-san will
flip over to their
side.

Even you

sometimes flip over
to that side,
after all!

Part 2: The Prince From Snow White
Iori-san,

good work with the
briefing today.
I look forward to
your role as the
prince from Snow
White..!

Good work, manager.

I’m honestly
not sure if I’m
qualified to be a
prince, but I’ll
do my very best.

The costumes are
very elaborate
again this time.

I’m sure

you’ll look wonderful
in your flowing cape
and long boots!

The other

outfits were splendid
as well. I was worried
over how the female
characters’ costumes
would turn out, but
they were a nice
match of feminine
and masculine.

I hope

the short drama
turns out good!

Do you have

a favorite among
the fairy tales
included?

Out of

these, I probably
like Alice in Wonderland
best. But my favorite
fairy tale is The
Little Mermaid..!

I see, so

manager is also a girl.

O-of course I am ><
When things

go badly, you can
act even manlier
than us, so I just
happened to blurt
that out.

Well, I do think

I’m far from a lady…

We’re relying

on you in more ways
than one. Even with
this shoot, you’re
to only one I can
count on…

L-leave it to me! Let’s

make this fairy
tale themed short
drama made up of
girls’ “likes” succeed.

Choices and outcomes:
(Option 1) Do you have a favorite fairy tale?
Puss in Boots.

Making use of your wits and words
to reach your objective is very nice.
The way the cat served its master
with all it had also really left an
impression on me as a child.

(Option 2) How do you feel about your character, Snow White’s prince?
When I was remembering the tale,

I thought the seven dwarves have some
things in common with us.

The prince fell in love with
Snow White while she was asleep,
but realistically speaking, I wouldn’t
fall for someone without even knowing
what their personality is like…

(Option 3) Is there any other costume you’d like to try?
Since this is already out of character for me,

I don’t have anything else that I’d like to wear.
However, I strongly feel that Nii-san’s costume
could only be worn by him.

It’s a folk tale rather
than fairy tale,
but I remember him
reading Issun-boushi (1)
to me. It’s the first
story he read to me after
getting tired of watching
me only read illustrated
encyclopedias.

Issun-boushi

is the story about a boy
who heads to the capital
using a bowl as a boat,
isn’t it!

That’s right.

I was deeply moved
by the way he wouldn’t
lose in the face of
adversity, and kept
fighting while
believing in
himself. I’m sure
Nii-san must’ve felt
the same way.

Iori-san…
Fairy tales

seem to bring back
old memories. In
retrospect, I could
never have believed
that I’d be working
as an idol together
with Nii-san. Our
very own experiences
could almost be
made into a tale.

I think

your brotherly love
is something wonderful
enough to be made into
a story, too!

Translator Notes
1) issun-boushi (lit. one inch son) is an old japanese tale that’s got a basic premise similar to western fairy

tales like tom thumb or thumbelina. like most fairy tales, multiple variations of the story exist, but here’s a simple synopsis of the classic version:

The story begins with an old, childless couple who live alone. The old woman wishes for a
child, despite her age. Eventually, a son is born to them, but he’s only about an inch tall.
They named the child Issun-bōshi. Theold couple takes good care of him even though he is
small. One day, the boy finds out he’ll never grow, so he goes on a trip to seek his place
in the world. Issun-bōshi thinks he might become a good warrior, so he is given a sewing
needle for a sword, a soup bowl for a boat, and chopsticks for oars.

He sails down river to the city, where he goes to the home of a rich lord, whose daughter
is an attractive princess, to ask for a job. They refuse because of his size, but hire him
to entertain the princess. While Issun-bōshi and the princess are traveling together, they
get attacked by an oni that swallows Issun-boshi. The boy defeats the oni by pricking him
from within with his needle/sword. The oni spits out Issun-boshi and drops a magical mallet
as he runs away. As a reward for his bravery, the princess uses the power of the mallet to
make Issun-bōshi grow. He and the princess remain friends and later get married.

Part 3: Märchen Dream
Manager,

good work.

It’s good
that today’s
promotional
drama shoot ended
without any big
disputes.

Good

work, Iori-san!

It ended peacefully!
I was excited to
be able to see
Re:vale’s acting
skills up close.

They stuck

to the script fairly
well, so we managed
to wrap up without
anything strange
happening.

It was

an amazing story
of the fairy tale
characters getting
lost in a parallel
world and struggling
to get back where
they came from!

The three

villains played by
TRIGGER are trying
to imprison us in
the parallel world
so they can take
our original worlds
for themselves.

Yaotome-san
tried to take over
Cinderella’s world,
Kujo-san tried to
take over Snow White’s
world, and Tsunashi-san
tried to take over Little
Red Riding Hood’s world.
Dark roles really suit
them, almost to the
point where I envy them.

And Re:vale played an

enigmatic role
where they gave
advice to both
sides. The mystery
of not knowing
whether they’re
friends or foes
suited Re:vale
perfectly!

There’s a

scene where Yuki-san
the Hatter tells me
“It’s no good to be in
too much of a hurry.
Have some tea”, but
if I actually drank
some tea there, my
character would
almost have been
killed. Then I
couldn’t have gone
to save Nanase-san’s
Snow White.

As you’d expect of a

parallel world..!

It seems

girls enjoy “what
if” scenarios.
Therefore, I
believe this
drama will be
a success.

So you’ve analyzed

it that far, as expected ><

Choices and outcomes:
(Option 1) Was any scene particularly memorable?
I thought Osaka-san’s Red Riding Hood

character would be weak, so I’ll go with the
scene where he takes out a dagger to
protect Yotsuba-san, the wolf.
Blades suit him awfully well…

(Option 2) Was there a scene you had trouble with?
Yotsuba-san is a wolf,

but unlike the wolf from the original tale,
he can’t understand our language very well,
which was quite troublesome.

Yotsuba-san has troubles with
speaking to begin with, so it was only natural,
but it felt like he was having a hard time
matching his performance to the others.
It may affect him by causing him to speak
less in his normal life…

(Option 3) Was there a scene you enjoyed?
Since we’re both princes,

perhaps the scene where Rokuya-san
and I join forces to fight.

Our characters excel in swordsmanship,
as is required for a prince, so the scene
where I face off with Rokuya-san and his
longsword with my rapier was a change from
usual, which made it fun.

But I must say, having the drama
end without a clear
conclusion was refreshing.

It ends

with Cheshire Cat
Momo-san and Hatter
Yuki-san’s “The story
will continue inside
your heart” line,
after all..!

I like

happy endings, so
I’d hate for it to
end on a gloomy
note…

Please make up a happy

ending in your heart ><

Let’s see,

in that case I’ll
make it an ending
where the characters
won’t return back to
their home worlds, but
start a new life in
the parallel universe.

Huh, but isn’t that the

cruelest ending imaginable..!?

You think

so? Since they got
to know characters
they’d otherwise never
have met, having them
separate forever would
be too cruel.

If you put it that way,

maybe you’re right…

Nanase-san said the same thing.
Even Riku-san! Then,

maybe everyone staying together
really would be for the better.

For Nanase-san, that

may be especially so.

Translator Notes
previous märchen dream chats only mention momo saying that final line but apparently here yuki says it, too :I

Part 4: Iori The Collector
Iori-san, good work! You received

samples of the Ichiban
Kuji merchandise today.
I believe they should
be in your room, so
please check them later!

Manager, good work. I’ve

just returned to
my room.

It seems
they’ve learned from
the chaos we had last
time, I’m relieved
to see the display
they’ve put on is much
more toned down.

Did Nagi-san send you

a picture?

Yes. I can only see

the things that
were lined up,
though.

I unboxed
a few of the goods
left in my room, it
seems they were really
taking the theme and
mood of fairy tales to
heart this time. The
greeting card is
interesting.

I personally liked

the bottle charms!
They’re both cute to
look at and use..!

I’m afraid

I’ll lose them…
The clear chips? (1)
are very small.

Put them

inside the bottle and
enjoy them!

I see, I feel like I

sort of understand
why Rokuya-san spares
no expense in buying
these kind of goods.

According

to Tamaki-san, you
spare no expense in
buying Usamimi Friends
either, was he wrong?

I don’t care

about Usamimi Friends!
I only bought some
for Yotsuba-san since the
chocolate included in
the goods is sometimes
pudding-flavored!

You must really like

Tamaki-san!

That is

also incorrect!!

Choices and outcomes:
(Option 1) I’ll also buy some Usamimi Friends with pudding-flavored chocolate!
You will?

By the way, I’ve heard there may occasionally
be a rare piece of merchandise included.
It’s called the “Golden Roppe-chan”. If you find it please let me know,
I want to use it for my statistics research.

(Option 2) So if Tamaki-san eats the chocolate, what do you do with the merchandise?
Yotsuba-san doesn’t seem interested in them,

so I take them for myself. It’d be a waste not to.
I’d like it for my statistics research,
but I’ve yet to come across the
rare “Golden Roppe-chan”.

(Option 3) Why don’t we release IDOLiSH7 merchandise that comes with sweets, too!
While I do think it’d be interesting,

it’s better for the goods to be unrandomized.
Let’s think of it from that angle for the
consumers’ sake.

Since I want it for my statistics research,
I’ve been trying to acquire a “Golden Roppe-chan”,
but since I haven’t been able to get one yet,
I think it’s best not to encourage that
sort of gambling spirit.

I hope

you manage to get a Golden Roppe-chan!

I don’t

really care whether
I get one or not…

But it’s nice that
this Ichiban Kuji
won’t have any
losses.

It’s better for people

to enjoy whatever they
happen to get, after
all! It’s peaceful
that way.

But Kujo-san’s

goods give me stomach
pains, so I wouldn’t
want to get any of
them.

Stomach pains..?
They make

me feel as if he
is constantly
watching me.

That brocon is
terrifying when it
comes to Nanase-san,
after all.

Just like you care for

Mitsuki-san, Kujo-san cares
for Riku-san!

Manager,

are you familiar
with the concept
of codependency?

Um, I may not be able to

explain its meaning
right off the bat…

Then please

look it up. The term
is practically made
for Nanase-san and
Kujo-san.

Part 5: Iori’s Charm
Iori-san, good work. It’s

finally the Ichiban
Kuji release date!

Good work, manager.

Kujo-san.

I went to school with
Yotsuba-san today,
but because we saw
a classmate with
some merchandise,
I felt somewhat uneasy.

So they

must’ve bought it this morning? Isn’t that nice..!

It is,

but parts of both
my student persona
and my idol persona
are an act, which
may be why I couldn’t
calm down.

I see… I can sort of

understand what you mean.

By the way, the classmate

was donning Nikaido-san
and Rokuya-san’s rubber straps.

Without intending to, I found
out that person’s likes.

But if they’d been

your merchandise,
it would have been
too awkward, so
wasn’t it for the best!?

You have a point…

Even Yotsuba-san’s
merchandise would
have been pushing it.

I sometimes see

people with you
and Tamaki-san’s
merchandise when
I’m out in the city!

I’ve been

trying to produce
various bits of
information on
IDOLiSH7 beforehand,
but I wonder why they
chose Yotsuba-san
and I.

There are quite a
few people who wear
Nanase-san and I as
a set, though…

I think it’s because

you’re the same age, and
because they find
the unique outlook
of a high schooler
that you both have cute!

I feel

like invoking the
phrase Nikaido-san
always says when he’s
drunk: “I can’t believe
the things women call
cute”.

The Ichiban

Kuji short drama might
also have something
to do with it. It
was cute!

Choices and outcomes:
(Option 1) Did you watch the short drama when it aired?
Yes. I saw it,

but I can’t believe that brief scene of
me talking with the wolf got so popular.

I started speaking as little as he did
involuntarily, so I was hoping for a retake,
but the director liked the spontaneity of
that take and said we should go
with that take…

(Option 2) Though you’re very mature, you seem more childish around Tamaki-san!
If you spent a sigle day with Yotsuba-san,

you’d understand why. That person is so caught in his
own pace that even you end up getting dragged into it…
You assume he’s lazy, but then he turns out to be
surprisingly attentive to others, which
conversely annoys you even more.

(Option 3) You act differently around Riku-san and Tamaki-san!
I have to keep an eye on

Nanase-san because he’s too accident prone.
I have to keep an eye on Yotsuba-san
because he’s too laid back. I think I
act the same and it just seems different,
but I wonder if there really is that
much of a difference…

I’m sure

everyone will love
seeing you act heroic.

Please cut

that out. You have
no idea how many
I imagined Nii-san
in my place.

Even when
Nii-san says harsh
things, he makes
sure they won’t hurt
the other person.
That’s why he’s
so well-loved.

I can

tell that even when
you say something
harsh, it’s because
you care!

No, unlike

my brother, I don’t
have that air of
kindness. That’s
the reason Nii-san
can play the role
of Cinderella,
even with how
cool he is.

I love

your smile, Iori-san.
You can show a gentle
expression, just like
Mitsuki-san.

I’m sure
you could pull off
the role of Cinderella,
or Snow White, or even
Little Red Riding
Hood!

Shall we
do something like
that next time!?

T-that’s not the issue!

Good grief, you
really can say
some embarrassing
things without a
hint of shame.

Talking to you has made
me stop caring about it.

Hopefully this Ichiban Kuji
will end a success.

It’ll be

fine! We’re in this
together with Re:vale
and TRIGGER, after all!

Such a high

yet scary honor that is.

It really is! lol
